Togetherness
We’re entering a season filled with special days and cherished traditions at Lupine Lane! These celebrations bring our school community together and create sweet memories for children, families, and friends. From Fall Fest and Halloween fun to our Feast of Gratitude and winter festivities, there’s so much to look forward to. Here’s a peek at what’s ahead! 🍂✨
🎃 Fall Fest | October 23, 3:30–5:00 p.m.
Join us for our annual Fall Fest! Enjoy spooky sensory experiences in the classrooms, a haunted maze and seasonal refreshments in the Great Room, and pony rides outside. Costumes are encouraged and optional! Bring siblings, grandparents, and friends for a fun afternoon together.
👻 Halloween Parade & School-Wide Trick-or-Treating | October 30
Kiddos – please wear your costumes today! Families are welcome to stay after drop-off for our costume parade at 8:45 a.m. Our 3–4 and 4–6-year-old classes will parade around the school and perform a Halloween song in front of the school entrance. If it rains, we’ll move the parade into the Great Room.
Our youngest classes do not participate in the parade, as saying goodbye to families twice can make the start of their day a little harder.
After the parade, children will visit classrooms and offices throughout the school, sharing a trick—or a song—for a treat!
🧡 Feast of Gratitude | November 20
Children will perform with their classes before gathering with their families for a delicious lunchtime feast! Carl and Brooklyn will prepare turkey, ham, and stuffing. We invite each family to bring a side dish from your own Thanksgiving traditions to share with your child’s class and their families.
🎁 Salvation Army Angel Tree | November 20
We look forward to hosting our annual Angel Tree, supporting children in need during the holiday season. We’ll share more information about how to sponsor a child in late November!
🚂 Polar Express Day | December 4
All aboard! Children will wear their pajamas and enjoy this classic children’s film as we welcome the holiday season with a magical “train ride” throughout the day.
💚 Grinch Day | December 11
Children are invited to dress like the Whos of Whoville for a special Friday celebrating the joy of togetherness!
🏠 Gingerbread Parties | December 18
This sweet Lupine Lane tradition dates back to 2008! Santa will visit in the morning to deliver candy for decorating gingerbread houses. In the afternoon, families will join us for class performances, followed by gingerbread decorating together—a joyful way to celebrate before winter break!

Family/Teacher Conferences
Teachers meet with each family twice a year—once in the fall and once in the spring. Fall Conferences will primarily take place on October 9 with your child’s lead and assistant teachers.
We ask that conferences be adults only so we can give our full attention to discussing your child’s growth, experiences, and needs.
If you are not able to make a conference on October 9 and need morning or after-school care but your child is not enrolled in that care, please contact school administration in advance so we can confirm availability. Thank you!

📚 Sharing Our Continuing Education 📚
Every month, we’ll share a blog post on our website that has us talking. This month, we’re discussing how to make learning more active and why and how this beneficial for implicit learning in early childhood.
